Modulus was founded in Toronto by Roman Arbesman in partnership with one of the city's leading chiropractors and Nitto Denko Japan, the original manufacturer of kinesiology tape. That founding partnership gave Modulus direct access to the clinical expertise that shaped the therapy, and the manufacturing precision of the company that built the material.

What began as a single clinical question — what if the shape was already engineered? — became the world's first pre-cut kinesiology tape system. Eighteen years later, that same question drives every product we manufacture.

Our products are produced in Ontario, Canada under strict quality control, with oversight across every stage of production from materials to final assembly and packaging. We work with trusted partners for specialized inputs to maintain consistent quality and performance.

Our Canadian facility manufactures Class 1 Medical Devices under Health Canada regulation — the classification applicable to therapeutic skin-contact tape products.

Manufactured in Canada since 2009 under an ISO 13485 certified quality management system, with materials tested to ISO 10993 biocompatibility standards.

Contains no natural rubber latex. Medical-grade acrylic adhesive designed for skin compatibility.

Tested for skin irritation in accordance with EN ISO 10993-10.

GLYPH™ combines specialized die-making and shape engineering capabilities to create application-specific tape designs based on anatomical considerations and user needs. Every shape is purpose-designed for its intended application—not adapted from a generic roll—and backed by over 18 years of specialized design, tooling, and manufacturing expertise.

Rigid Backing System

Developed specifically for kinesiology tape, LAMINA™ is a rigid backing paper system designed to stabilize tape shapes during handling, support clean, accurate application, and provide a durable printable surface for branding and application guidance.

Precision Perforation System

Integrated into the LAMINA™ backing, SULCUS™ is a precision perforation system that creates defined tear-off sections to control backing removal—no tools, no guessing—making complex tape formats easier to start and apply accurately.
